La Gomera Trek

You stay in small family run hotels situated in villages and small towns whilst on the trek. One has a swimming pool and is set amidst banana plantations. Your last two nights are taken in the comparative luxury of a 3 star hotel with roof top pool and for a small supplement a sea view. Dinner is included and is taken in the hotel or in a nearby restaurant.

We have personally stayed in or visited all of our accommodations. They have all been selected for their great locations, friendly atmosphere and traditional hospitality, as well as the warm welcome they offer to walkers. Below is a summary of our usual accommodations*.

On this trek, the accommodations are mostly small and family-run, all rooms have a private bathroom.

Nights 1 & 2: San Sebastian

Located in the historical village of San Sebastian, this lovely hotel is situated near to the harbour and next to Torre del Conde park. There is a roof top terrace which overlooks the delightful park.

All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, television, telephone and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath and hairdryer.

Night 3: Hermigua

These charming apartments have excellent views of banana groves and cane plantations. There is a swimming pool which is open during the summer months. All of the 19 rooms feature a balcony or terrace, a tv and wi-fi. Dinner is taken in the family restaurant 100m away.

Night 4: Vallerhermoso

Located in the town this is a converted villa which is over 100 years old. There are 11 rooms, all of which have large windows to allow in plenty of sunlight. There is also a swimming pool available in the summer months.

Night 5: Chipude

Situated in the quiet village of Chipude, this small hotel has 19 rooms. It’s a firm favourite noted for the friendly staff. Dinner is taken in the restaurant or outside on the terrace.

Nights 6 & 7: Valle Gran Rey

Set facing the ocean this hotel offers comfortable, very well-equipped rooms with balcony or terrace. Sea view is optional for a small supplement. The roof top pool and terrace have superb ocean views and the town with the island’s mountains ever present in the background is close by.

We will always endeavour to use the accommodations detailed above. Occasionally, due to limited availability or refurbishments, we may have to accommodate you into alternative accommodations which are not listed in the above description. If those listed are unavailable, the alternative accommodation will be of the same or better standard than those described.
